S.DA / Studio Dua Abukhalaf

Studio Dua Abukhalaf is a Dubai-based boutique multidisciplinary studio. At the core of their philosophy is the convergence of innovation and authenticity — a realm where values and ideas seamlessly blend to shape distinctive and meaningful architectural experiences. The studio is dedicated to honoring materials and techniques while embracing modern construction technologies. We were tasked to design a brand identity and a website to convey the studio’s essence.

‎In order to align with Studio Dua Abukhalaf’s approach, we have designed the identity focusing on typography and imagery layout. We have emphasised the innovativeness  by introducing an uncommon text and imagery arrangement across the touchcpoints, while keeping it all raw and real through photography that has centred around materials, textures, and construction sneakpeeks. For the logo, it was decided to opt for a simple yet a confident wordmark that extends to the dynamic element as a signature. The typefaces have encompassed both serif and sans serif fonts to merge sophistication with modernity. With the negative spaces and a lack of colors, we have focused on the essential celebrating traditional crafts within a contemporary and high-end context, striving to bridge heritage with progress.
